Hello everyone,

My name is Antish Aubeelock. I am a Chevening Scholar from Mauritius, currently studying an MA in Creativity: Innovation and Business Strategy at the University of Exeter. I graduated with a BSc in Banking and International Finance at the University of Technology Mauritius in 2016 and further passed CFA Level 1 in 2018. I worked in a non-banking institution in Mauritius, in the Product Development department for three years. My last position was as a Digital Product and Innovation Specialist, where I was responsible for the creation of innovative value propositions, rethinking the business model and structure, and developing future digital strategies.

I realise that Mauritius is aiming to be a high-income economy, a financial hub, and a platform to invest in Africa within the next few years. I firmly believe that we can achieve this vision through digital innovation. With the technological disruption happening all over the world, Mauritius needs to keep pace with the development too. I seek to bring that change in Mauritius by working on a project that would enable low-income families to get access to sound financial value propositions.

The Digital Business Models module will further deepen my understanding of the capabilities of using digital technologies to effectively capture value through digital innovation, such as creating an innovative start-up company and designing a ground-breaking application. I am confident that by bringing my knowledge of financials, creativity, digital innovation, and strategy together will make a perfect combination to take my aspirations to the next level.

I am looking forward to making the most of the module!
